i knew that it was dead (maybe 10 years old) so i had no fear shortcutting something…
i began with a screwdriver opening at the Connector because i thought there is just a PCB inside (lower middle, edge facing right ) - actually was just air
then used pliers to get my thumb in and ripped it open bare hands J) (carefully of course)
Toss the batteries, salvage the components on the board (there should be a thermocouple, some current-control chips, maybe some other stuff) and get started on your NEXT one!
