Yesterday I decided it was time to work on some of the lights I had recently purchased. First I assembled an Ultrafire WF-602C with a hard driven xpg2. Then I tore into my Convoy C8. It got a new driver and a xpg2 on copper. Finally I took the xml and driver that I pulled out of the Convoy and used them in my ten year olds 3 D jobsmart zoomie. Unfortunately the xml was damaged when I tried to force it loose from the gallon of thermal paste they used on the Convoy but half of it still works and a replacement will be ordered soon. I had a good time working on the lights and can almost solder now lol. Thanks to all of you for your posts and for answering all my noob questions.
Congrats!

Congrats on the mods. That’s just the beginning, no stopping it now.
Well done. Next time to try and break the thermal glue’s hold try sticking it in the freezer for an hour.
