flashing a FC13S

Can a FC13S be flashed to a FC13 ?

Does the bottom of the driver look the same? if so, you have a good chance, assuming thy didn’t change anything else. On their other flashlightts, the simple version has a different driver IIRC.

The FC13S are on sale for $20. But I like to flash It.

Ah, then I can only guess. In this Reddit thread some say it might be possible, but no conclusion yet. Maybe someone here knows, or you can try yourself

No, the FC13S cannot be flashed with Anduril because it uses an unsupported microcontroller AFAIK.

I’ll ask it here also. Is the fc13s regulated ? I can’t find mention of that in any reviews .

I don’t believe the FC13S is regulated, but the TD05 is. They’re similar in form factor, though more closely related to the FC12, as it also employs the SFT40. Still a good light either way though.

I grabbed aTD05 on a whim - now it’s my go-to recommendation for newb, tactical-ish, simple all around use…

The 5000K SFT40 is quite nice!

You can always test by just executing

avrdude -c serialupdi -p t1616 -P <COM Port>

If you see a microcontroller in the message that means it’s AVR and could be programmed
