Flashlight Storage Project - Updated: It's Finished!

Cleaning up the pictures to make for easier reading…

Here is the before:

I tidied up for the picture, but generally speaking the shelf was cluttered and the cats were jumping up and knocking batteries and lights around. So on a recent Ikea trip I picked up the Micke storage unit and a Dioder LED lighting kit. The Dioder includes a controller that lets you change the color of the light or set it to cycle through to each color. A bit of assembly, cable running and drawer liner and the result was quite nice.

Poor cell guy… the bug has bitten him clean through the bone and is gnawing away at his marrow. The dioder adds a great high-tech look. Very cool!

Rule #4: know you heard this before. Never get high on your own supply

looking good. got some ideas going through my head now. cant wait to see it finished

I can admit it. I am an addict!

I like what you did, but honestly, I didn’t see ant “clutter”. My wife would be so happy if my nightstand look anywhere near as organized as your desk.

Well I did clean things up for the picture. Not really a true representation of the organization.

i like this

which is not mine by the way…

That is a college fund right there! I have seen it before but forget who the OP is. ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS?

I picked up one of those Dioders for real cheap at a Thrift store but it was broken. It worked but had some damaged wires. Taped it up but gave it to my ex. Would like to get another at some point.

New is $40 not cheap but not too bad I guess with the cool factor of being able to change colors. Straight white light is $30.

i am seeing 3x Eageltac's in your personal collection!!!

what happened to Zebralight, you got yourself none??

I wondered when some was going to notice! Good eyes. I keep my Zebra’s in my safe. Haha actually most of they are getting Cerakoted. I have 600, 600 MKII and 502 there, my 52 is on my nightstand or in my pocket and my 6330 is on loan to a customer.

oh oké.

the zebras won over the eagles then.

:p

George has my heart, no doubt.

or you can build a cheap shelf from Home Depot

That is an awesome collection! Cheap shelf = more flashlight money!

I really dig that cabinet and especially the lighting strips. That's pretty sweet, Mike! 8)

I bet it's like a crazy disco at night .

cheaper than tritium

I have been keeping it on the blue light mostly. The cycle is cool though and slow enough there is no strobe effect.
