I found this the other day.
One of the few actual accounts of flashlights making a difference in controlling aggressive behavior.
The flashlight account starts at about 8:25.
The big takeaway from the 3 videos in the series is that only a community can preserve itself. No lone wolf is going to make a difference – even one named Rambo. When the police dispatch response is “You are on your own”.
Plenty of food for thought. Me? If I started finding replanted Molotov cocktail in the alley? That story line never never entered into my mind set. Don’t know what I’d decide to do. But I had best think about it before hand.
All the Best,
Jeff

About a year ago now I was using my flashlights to look for planted Molotov cocktails and making my presence known to my fellow neighbors. (Several cocktails were found and removed.) We drove out people that were coming in to our neighborhood. We were definitely on our own. Scary times. Did bring the neighbors, of all skin tones, together though. Probably the only good thing that came out of it. Weird seeing the trial play out on TV now.
We chose flashlights, pots and pans, and people working together over guns. Scary. Guns were pulled but thankfully never used. Hope we won’t be repeating that in the coming weeks.
