With a TK70, might have to try this with some of my lights.
You can do the same thing with a bright green laser pointer.
I’ve not found a light yet that does this to English street lights, johnnymac has the same lights and can turn off American lights, no worries. Let me know if you find one, I have a street light outside my bedroom window……

You must take into account that maybe not all lights have a light sensor, some installations are an array of lights controlled by a single sensor, sometimes the sensor is not used at all and the lights are switched on by a contactor. I’ve been installing them for a while, and the installation was different in each project, even having a sensor in the top of each lamp, not always was used.
You can have an idea of the working, if all of them switch on and off at the same exact moment, they are controlled by a contactor elsewhere
Also, a lot of street light sensors have a timer circuit. The light must be present/gone for some time (like many minutes) for the light to switch.
That last point had occurred to me, I’ve stuck it out for a minute or two, but started worrying about the neighbour’s thoughts on the subject……
I want to turn the streetlight off, because I can, just doesn’t seem to cut it in my head…
Also remember that the sensor on a streetlight is usually on one side of the housing, it does not detect 360 degrees. I had a streetlight I had been trying to turn off for the hell of it for a long time, never good, then finally I got it from the correct direction and it went off almost instantly. Generally they are aimed East-ish so they come on earlier at night and off in the morning once the sun is up some.
I'm itching to try it also but will wait until after midnight when hopefully everyone in the street is tucked up.

Bose, that could be the problem, have to check directions…I’m under the impression one well driven xm-l will do the trick in a 60mm reflector, so far no dice…or as I postulated, UK lights have different parameters than US ones - time delay possibly, though they don’t necessarily stop on long after day break.
Hmmm need to play at this now, Mrs gords already thinks I’m not right in the head….
The best way to turn them off if they bother you is with a bullet (well, disconnecting it is far less aggressive)
