G’day everyone,
Selling my MM15vn Fiat Lux. This is a dome on version for maximum brightness (over 7000 lumens) and a beautiful tint. It’s also the Fiat Lux version, one of the few that Vinh deems the best of a bunch.
I will upload photo’s when I get home, it has Vinh’s signature on it and a Fiat Lux engraving. Also has the optional big slug of copper inside as well to draw heat away and extend turbo runtime. The head also lines up perfectly with the body.
I bought this and used it for about half an hour, now I have a TN36NW it never gets used! It comes with everything you’d get with a brand new light, box included.
Did I mention it is in perfect condition? BNIB condition with about half an hour of use. I recommend high drain unprotected batteries for it, turbo mode does trip the protection circuit on most protected batteries.
The MM15vn Fiat Lux is definitely brighter.
The tint on both is very similar, however the tint is slightly nicer on the MM15vn. The angle of the beam is greater with the MM15vn too. Only reason I’m selling is because I need a camping light and I’d cry if I ever damaged this beauty. Cost me heaps getting brand new off Vinh with the copper slug inside plus shipping over here.
My TN36 is stock, not the VN version. Pains me to sell this light but I need a new diving light, and the one I want is so expensive.
Fiat is one of the biggest car/transportation vehicles/trucks manufacturers in Europe, they are based in Italy but they also bought local car manufacturer where they make some o the cars like Fiat 500C, Punto, 500L etc. They laid off bunch of workers, installed robots, made bunch of promises, fulfilled maybe 20%. They are quite present here because you can replace your old/junk car with a new one and that cuts the price a bit…
So yeah, no one here speaks dead language but 50%+ cars on streets are Fiat branded.
If I had a flashlight with “Fiat Lux” carved in it, everyone would ask me how much they pay me for advertising them…
Maybe in US (certainly in AUS) Fiat is not that present…
50+% of cars on the street are Fiats? You’re kidding right? It’d be under 5%, in Australia anyway. Fiat are a nothing car brand in the Land Down Under that’s for sure. All Holden, Ford, Toyota and Mitsubishi here it seems.
Fiat, the name of the company is just a coincidence with the Latin fiat, because FIAT is an acronym for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino.
Except Latin I am not sure if any other "dead" language that is actually taught in schools and at universities. It was quite long ago buy I remember when we used to learn tenses of verbs for Latin language. But Latin is sort of living though these letters that we write.
No, I owned a Fiat and it definitely stands for “Fix it Again Tony!”
Maybe they have gotten better through the years.
Picked up a good share of Women in that car though, so it wasn’t all bad
