Forward clicky switch with momentary when on?

Does a forward clicky switch with momentary when on exist that’s under 15mm in length ?

Do you mean while the light is on, you want ability to half press and the light shut off?

I’m not sure this is physically possible due to the construction of a normal forward clicky; with all fwd switches I’ve tried, off is “behind” the latching mechanism so you’d have to disengage the clicky in order to allow the mechanism to disengage the electrical contacts.

With a reverse switch, this is normal behaviour and is used to change modes.

Perhaps you’d have to use an e-switch with custom firmware?

I believe jerv wants a direct forward clicky replacement for a reverse clicky of the same size. In this case, a 15mm forward clicky

Half press from off → momentary
Full click while off → constant on
Full click from on → off
Half press from on → nothing

Do you mean something like the Wuben L3, where you get to turbo with a half press from on?
What momentary do you want to have from on?

it probably could be done with a secondary contact on a reverse clicky. But that would involve some other mechanism that bridges the forward and reverse portions such to provide a seamless transition into the latched reverse portion. .

I have an idea, a double stacked ratchet system where the reverse is on top of the forward if the switch cover is at the top. the bottom forward ratchet has alternating contact blades, contact for momentary without latching reverse, so passive travel would be longer than the reverse. The forward portion has its own sprung contact system that would break the circuit while the reverse clicky is latched on, bqsed on the alternating contact latching blades, so you could switch modes with the reverse portion while on.

then, when delatching the reverse, it would latch the forward clicky back to standby state, where the conductive blades of the ratchet move to standby for engage mode.

However, this would be one tall mofo, so maybe you could figure out a way to make it concentric with a graded sleeve bearing contact instead.
