Found a beautiful neutral tint lantern for cheap...

Found these at my local DAISO chain shop...

2 x AAA, single mode plastic lantern... decent runtime (my unit is still running at ~1 lumens after 24 hours with a fresh pair of alkaline), and beautiful tint. check out below comparisons...

just look at that beautiful neutral tint... my guess is between ~4500K to 5000K...

I bought these at ~USD1.50 each...

For me, part of the fun of shopping at Daiso is to see what can be hacked into other purposes.

Even if it doesn’t work out, only $1.50 is at risk.

If AAA is a problem extract the guts and power them with something else…

I think the weakness isn't for expensive toys .Instead I seems to enjoy almost anything that emits light .

I recently picked up a 5 pack of push lights from the thrift store that do red green blue white and then realized it had a little remote control too that had a timer and 5 outputs on the lights too. I paid about what you paid for one and wndered why someone was donating them in the first place .

I wish there was a Japanese dollar store near me :( I'd grab a few of those .
