it’s time for us to move soon and I’ve come to the sad conclusion that I’m never going to have a use for all the li-ion batteries I’ve salvaged over the last 3 or 4 years. Plus the wife wants the luxury of 2 salad draws in the fridge for the next couple of months. Anyway, I’ve put aside a few for a battery bank that’s on it’s way and I’m left with 55 18650 cells and 6 or 7 lipo cells.
The 18650s are all from laptop batteries, only cells over 3V, no heating on charging and little detectable self-discharge were kept. Capacities range from 1.5Ah (rare) through 2-2.2Ah (v. common) to 2.5/ 2.7Ah (rare). I can’t offer any kind of assurance that they’ll work in high drain lights or even that they’ll work in your application at all. They’re old but decent cells.
The li-po cells are also from laptop batteries, same criteria as above, capacities are either ~1Ah (small) or 3Ah (large). I think 4 of the former and 2 or 4 of the latter.
I’m offering these for the cost of postage in the US. Sorry to our non-US friends, the postage just won’t work outside of the US. The whole lot will probably fit in a medium flat rate box, or the 3 1/2 (1/2 = the lipos) bags will each comfortably fit in a small flat rate box. I don’t have the time or patience to pick winners, so if there’s more than one of you that wants them, sort out amongst yourselves how it’s going to get split up, then PM me with your addresses and I’ll PM you my Paypal address. 3-4 will probably work fine, more people than that and you’re getting into new cells from FT territory

I would like to have a few if there is any left I only have 2 18650’s and have been waiting for someone to post a good buy on laptop battery’s I just got into the Group buy for the Dream Charger so I need some battery’s to charge!!!

And I mentioned it NOT to step on anyone’s toes…but to ensure the new people here get a taste of what decent batteries do to flashlights than using those craptastic *fire cheapo’s

Looks like everyone should be able to get what they asked for. Haven’t added it all up yet as I haven’t had my coffee, but it’s looking good. If I get time today I’ll work it all out and PM you back to work out the paypal stuff, if not I’ll do it tomorrow, ideally to get them out the door by Friday. If no one asks for the li-po batteries you’ll all get one each They’re really neat, honest.
Another thing too - don’t forget that these are unprotected cells. If you’re passing them on to people that haven’t used li-ion cells before, please either add a PCB (FT has them for ~$1 each) or use them in something that has a voltage warning/ cutoff otherwise you’ll get a lot of irate calls back about dead cells. Speaking from experience here…
