These two chargers slightly overcharge cells which I don’t really like. From memory they were cutting off between 4.22-4.25V. They have only been used maybe two times each and since I have an MC3000, BT-C3100 and an Xtar VP4 these don’t ever get used now.
I figured someone else would be able to make use of them and I don’t want anything for them I just ask that you pay for the postage. They are great chargers and you can easily take the cells off charge at 4.20V by just checking their voltage with a DMM.
Both come as is shown in the photo. I have two AUS plugs for them which I will include if someone in AUS wants them, otherwise I am assuming if you are overseas you will just get your own cord since from my experience the cords are cheaper than buying an adapter. I am still looking for the box for the Thrunite, but I am sure I wouldn’t have thrown it away.
I am just running this as first in gets them. I can find out the postage costs if you just post a reply below stating where you are from.
To clarify, I am giving them away together as one item.
Air Mail Registered OR Tracked - $37AUD (~$26.50USD)
I wouldn’t be able to send the packaging for the D4 with that though as the box isn’t big enough to fit it all in. It would push it over the 1KG mark if I went to a bigger box which would make it more expensive.
hey mate double check because i thought my um20 was under charging my cells but my multi-meter was out of whack so now i have two multi-meters just in case! what voltage does the d4 say on the screen when it cuts of?
I have checked with two DMMs already. My normal one is a Fluke so it should be pretty accurate. The charger is indicating 4.20V but the cell is up to 4.25V. The SkyRC, Xtar and Opus all indicate 4.20V and measure at 4.20V with the DMM. Same with the Nitecore i2 and i4 which I have had previously. It is only these two chargers which have been going over.
Honestly though, it doesn’t make a difference to me, if by some miracle they cut off at 4.20V for the new owner, I will still be happy to have given them away. I don’t really need 5x 4-cell chargers.
If an Aussie takes precedence, I would like them, or if splitting is viable, the D4, as it can charge lifepo’s, which I’ve a few I want to experiment with.
