Should be expected - XHP50.2's in SMO reflectors are not a good combo at all with all sorts of tint shifts. For the artifacts, not sure if you mean just the normal things for multi reflector lights, like clover leaf patterns, etc.

OP's would help, but for SST-40's probably not needed. They probably should have done OP for XHP50.2's, SMO for SST-40's.

EC01's are OP, but EC03's are also SMO.

Im waiting with my purchase for video review of the SST40 version. Hope the beam is without any funky stuff.

Should fare well, albeit more of a thrower with reasonable spill.

Glad I chose the SST-40, as the 70.2 beam profile is horrible.

I just got my 4 x 50.2, daytime here in sunny Arizona. Small white room ceiling bounce check looks like very close to 10,500 lumens, as compared side by side with FW21Pro vn, both with 21700 40T and my subjective eyes.

White wall hunting shows both a very nice defined hot spot and also nice, wide usable spill width, too.

The dawn of the new flashlight day is in seven more hours, then I will take it outside for a spin. I am sure I will be happy with its combination of power, beam width and throw.

This light fits in as a EC03 with more power via additional emitter, and as a FW21Pro with more throw from larger diameter reflector and additional emitter.

In a few weeks, I will find out how much another sample can be enhanced with 4 x 90.2. Also, I am guessing that the stock 4 x 50.2 can be boosted to 13,000 lumens.

Don't forget to tighten the tube to head out of the box; and yes, it has normal modes for normal runtime, too. Yay!

Thanks to all who made this single cell 4 x 50.2 config come to happen. I hope it is not to soon to say that this is an important standout light.

is there a review up on this yet? how does this compare to ft03? it feels like a thrower, but with 4 emitters? how does that even work? anybody have beamshot comparisons? preferably with ft03 xhp? im thinking sst40 version of this tho

SST40 Here, still an odd beam pattern but a lot better than the 50.2.

so does it actually throw all that lumen as far as it says it does? like is it just a ft03 but much brighter and bigger hotspot?

Sorry not my video.

oh sorry, i thought you owned one as well

Disappointing beam profile. The Astrolux EC03 is much better. I jumped too soon at this one it seems.

Mine arrived today in the UK

Got the email but there’s no code

Going to do a comparison with my sofirn SP36 BLF and the Ft02s later on using the same batteries.

Will certainly be interesting

Will be, still waiting for now.

Beam profile at close distance.

Well, beam looks about right from this type of light. 4 deep smo reflectors, shiny bezel, and xhp50.2 not the best combo for artifact-free beams.

Even the SST40 beam looks like nothing to write home about. Now Im really hesitating between FT02S SST40 or EC03 SST40…

I made a video showing beamshot comparisons of the SST40 5000k version of this light (comparing it to several of my others such as the Emisar D1, Noctigon KR1, Astrolux EC01, Astrolux FT03 XHP 50 version, Emisar D18, and Noctigon K1)

Beamshots start at 1:20 in the video

I’ll wait for a review on the SST40 version.

Just posted one with beamshots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2gQZn3JY5Y
