Just went to fuel up my beater (car), then took a couple or turns to see how high the water is.

At this time, snow is melting here and small rivers rise their surface.

Drove down the river, a gravel road, made a U-turn back and wondered for a while "gee, big stones on the road here".

Not stones (large pic, just link for now)

Tens and tens of 'em. Easily enough for a soup ;)

Just a side note or the most important thing on the post:

Just showed the (lovely) photo to my wife, who said "well, it's the time of year for them, isn't it?"

I have frogs all around my home atm. They are driving me insane at night.

Hmm, I think in here it is a bit early. Right now, temp is at 38F. Well, they will be active soon and at daytime it's warmer.

These are quiet ones, size is well under half-a-fist :)

I wonder how many of them CheapThrills ran over with his car :D?

We were out walking in the country side with my gf one day and the road was full of them, she accidentally stepped on one of them, RIP... I can imagine how disgusting it would have been for her if she stepped on one bare foot :D

As I did not notice them on the way there (was taking a look to floods), I counted at least two casualties on the way back
