SL2 modified by Vinh. PDTW (4000k XM-L2) emitter, DriverVN, Extra .3oz of copper HS, both springs bypassed, “V54” hand engraved. Uses flat top 18650s only.

$80- $130 $150 $175 $200 PayPal preferred. CONUS shipping, and insurance included.

Hmmm. That is beyond my rather limited and outdated frame of mind.
But then again: I needed a new pair of jeans. So my wife takes me to this fancy new “fashion“store.
The saleslady shows me a pair, torn at the knees. I told her, yes my old ones look like that, I need a new pair.
For a moment I thought they were going to call the men in white.

I would have said the same. I don’t even want to understand why some people pay large sums of money for torn jeans. I buy cheap jeans and tear them up myself! :partying_face:

Maybe when it’s is anodized again with a funky colour it could look “cool”.

Funny thing is David, after realising one man’s treasure is another’s trash (apologies, that’s not fair at all, it isn’t trash at in the slightest - it’s the finish I’m referring to love/hate it) I actually have just ordered 2 of those Utorch s2 clones (basically exactly the same) to do exactly this.
I worked as a part marker/engraver using all sorts of marking/methods and a lot of hand engraving for many years.
I am thinking about offering hosts that we all recognise and can work with, so when I sell them it will contain the original lights guts, but I’ll have engraved/modded the body. The new user can then do as they please with it. Gonna start of with a few and see how it goes. Anodising/stripping is easy as I have a mate who works in a factory.
I figure a lot of people like something unique, but haven’t the funds for this sort of thing which is where my ‘hosts’ would come in (this is a BIG hope lol) I am even thinking about personalising existing/ new lights with peoples names/ id’s on request.
