Where do the batteries go? The lead coming out of the bottom also looks annoying.

Here (and at dx) is some more information: it is also a bicycle lamp, it costs 62.50 dollars and comes with a 4x18650 batterypack in a pouch with a 50 cm cable that seems not attachable to the headband so you have to stuff it somewhere else on you.
I wasn’t sure about the pouch. Could 4x18650 fit into the headlamp?
oh, mistake, it's 6x18650, I guess that will feel like a small extra rucksack on the back of your head:

That headlamp looks interesting enough that I want to buy it even if the output isn't great, but I can't stand how they space the modes.
That looks nice, but they should at least have an extension for 2x26650 use!

hmm… didn’t think about that, it may perform like my Beamtech 3 LEDs which only put out about 1000 lumens… yikes…
but i like the way the reflector look
