Basically it was an Incan 100w Halogen which won… not sure how tbh but it was probably because they thought it was cool to fry eggs on the lens

Less that 10 min of runtime, what a waste. 4k lumens from 100watts, an HID would get you double that.
My local newspaper did a peace on it, I tweeted them saying it was junk compared to what’s out there. WickedLasers Pm’d me on twitter asking why I thought that.
I replied poor runtime, and poor energy efficiency. Put a 100watt hid or led and then you may have a great invention. I got the “sorry you feel that way, have a nice day”
the thing will start fires though >)
i guess its more of a specialty item where practicality isnt really necessary for those who want it
I can start fires with my $60 laser or a $4 Bic lighter.
A bare XML at over 3 amps may start a fire, pop the head off my Crelant 7G5cs and with the right kindling it’d work.
The Torch is neat, but I’d get an FF3 instead 
id like to see a picture of a fire getting started with a 7g5cs
Yeah, bit of a crappy torch really. What use is 5 mins run time? I guess LED’s haven’t caught on in the rest of the world. Or at least on TV!
The stupid thing is if they had shopped at Dino direct they could have got a 10000 lumen torch with 120 hour run time for $26.99.

it runs youtube well, and also simultaneously I have started two downloads. The downloads are running about 500-600KB/s and my line is capable of around 1200KB/s.
This is very good for a vpn-proxy.
