FW3A 2026 on Nealsgadgets

I decided to do one of my new fw3a with FFL351A 4000k Rosy.

That sounds gorgeous. If i can’t find something a bit warmer I have a couple of those kicking around that will make their way in

@BeardedTigger
I tried out the FFL351A 4000k Rosy in my FW3A lastnight. I like them a lot.

That looks really nice! :+1:

1 Thank

Have you looked at the NTG35 2700K?

3 Thanks

I like NTG35 2700K very much.. I would not call it Ultra Rosy, as the duv is not excessively low ( I consider lower than -0.0100 excessive).

I have a d1k with the NTG50 2700K. It’s really nice. Ideally I’ll find some closer to -0.02 ~-.0.015duv. I just found an extra mcpcb from my nov mu v2 with 9 ffl351a3700s @-0.0039duvI figure there’s somebody out there who got Rosie and didn’t like how super pink it turned out and either we can trade LEDs or I could offer to do the swap for them. I really should trade my nose move as well since it turns out I don’t really have a use for a mule. After I threw an FFL5009D 3000k -0. 016duv in my m21b I want to standardize my carry lights as close to that as possible

NTG on the left FFL on the right on a tan car roof it might not seem like much but it feels like miles when I’m trying to see something quickly

3 Thanks

The NTG35 2700k is such a beautiful, warm beam. I’ve been using it in more and more lights lately.

3 Thanks

It was my first LED to be both warm and Rosy. When i picked it up after the TN3535It really changed my perspective on the way I want my lights to look

I have a FFL 3500K “rosy” in a Z1. It’s way better than any other warm LED I’ve tried, but it’s still a bit too warm for me. I don’t think I could do a 2700K model. As is, this one is already visibly orange, and my eyes can’t quite adapt to it. It’s good enough to use though, which is a surprise for something so warm. Being “rosy” has extended my tolerance downward from 4500K (neutral CCT) to 3500K (rosy).

But my favorite is still the NTG50 4200K. It really hits the sweet spot.

5 Thanks

I just tried the FFL351A 4000k Rosy for the first time and it is very good. Similar to the NTG35 4200K.
I have some of the 4500k Rosy enroute as I type this.

I got the TI model built up and tested.
519a 4000k are looking good!
With Carry Werks TI clip.

4 Thanks

Dang, nice clip on that thing. That’s pretty much exactly what I was hoping the FW3A would ship with originally.

3 Thanks

That looks like the Ti clip from Carrywerks. It’s a freaking great clip!!!

3 Thanks

Now we need the steel bezel and short tube to be restocked!
