Great information there, thanks Jason! saved to txt file
Got my message. Ordered my 3D. I’ll buy more later. Thanks everyone. Btw, I was #1293 on the list.
Thanks a bunch TK!
Quick question, I'm hesitating on two scenarii mainly:
- Buy one 7A now, buy an SST20 when released. Will the BLF code still be alive by that time?
- Just wait for CRI95. Will the BLF code still be alive by that time?
PS: is there a post dedicated to comparing SST20 and XP-L in a bit more details than 1st post?
Don’t worry about the code.
Thanks for answering, so no urge to order. I'd better wait a few more days for CRIs.
Do we have a rough expectation date/order of mgmagnitude like for SSTs? Like 2 days or 2 weeks
I think i was one of the last few peoples who got in. Got my PM a couple hours ago. Ordered 2 (3D). One for myself and another for family. I may consider to order a SST20 when available. Thanks!
Uber clear, thanks!
As a moderator of /r/flashlight, I take exception to this. Our #1 rule is “Be excellent to each other.” and we actively enforce it on the rare occasion someone gives us cause to.
Ordered a 3D tint. Thanks
Another in high CRI later.
Got my code and ordered a 7A. Seems like most people are going after the 3D; I’m concerned this will be too yellow, but I was more worried that the 500k would end up being too cool for me.
I don’t know how to choose, so ……Ordered 3D & 7A tint. Thanks
The next two should be SST-20 & CRI……
I don’t want to be a guinea pig. I hope the product is good
Thank you to Fritz, TK, Neal, Lumintop and to anyone and everyone who has been involved in the making of this. Placed my order and now the wait begins.
Originally I planned on buying the 3D tint but at the last moment decided I’d try out the 7A tint instead.
Personally I’ve preferred lights with a CCT ~4000-4500K but the closer to 5000K CCT of the 3D might be a bit too cold to my liking in a flashlight like this.
If I don’t like it then oh well, I’ll just swap the emitters.
ordered two 3D…
But I think I was down for one of each emitter?
Did I screw up?
I hope it works for you. It’s part of the code of conduct at one of the largest makerspaces in the US where people interact in person and it doesn’t work as well as everyone would like.
Some of the FW3As shipped yesterday:
You didn't screw up.
Order whatever you want.
