What emitter would you recommend for my first Fw3a?
I recently bought a EDC18 in XPL HI (4875k) and want to try a different emitter type in the fw3a….
Also, what other mods would you suggest
Other than the tail switch being too easy to activate it’s a great light right out of the box. That XPL-Hi is a bit greenish to me but that may be a personal preference thing. I absolutely love the 4000K SST-20’s in that light. The Nichia 4000K is very nice, as well as being a bit more floody. I was willing to sacrifice output for beam and tint quality. There is a thread for nothing but FW3A mods. A quick search here on BLF will probably net you many great ideas.
SST20 in 4000k, deep carry clip and maybe 10507 optic?
