Detents can vary a little from knife to knife. That variance can be bigger or smaller within a given line. I only had one sample and mine was bad, so that’s what I reported. Generally, Teacher is right that bad points will get reported more often. I’ve been talking with people about this and reading/watching reviews for the FH41. I have seen a few other reports ranging from “bad” to “meh” or “wish it was stronger”. On the other side of the curve, I’ve seen a few “okay” or “good”, often in response to a bad or lacking report. I think I just struck out on the worst part of the curve.

I hate when an otherwise nice knife has some kind of sharp point or hard angle that creates ergonomic difficulties. Something like a sharp right angle along the inner edge of the scales is somewhat common in budget knives. I’ve had and fixed that with both the FH11 and FH41. (This is one of the quickest and easiest things to fix.) For everything I loved about the FH11, I hated how the bottom of the handle went to three points instead of a curve. G10 is easy to file down and smooth out (don’t breathe the dust) but care is needed not to expose the point on the blade.

Just ordered my first knife in a long while. I ordered the FH41. Looking forward to getting it in a couple days or so. Hope there are no issues.

Be careful! You might get infected by the mall ninja virus!

Oh no!

that's weird ..I've never even heard of mall ninjas ...much less seen one . But I'm usually in Spencers gifts looking at black light posters or hanging out in Victoria secret.

There is always a patient zero……

Vicoria’s Secret is also one of my favourite places in the mall to look around! :sunglasses: Anyway don’t forget to alternate your routes to avoid a potential ambush!

My new Ganzo Firebird F759 Meadowlark clone has some vertical blade play when open, the lockbar will flex very slightly if you put some force against cutting edge, it doesnt feel like it would be an issue, its just not as solid as I had hoped, so I got the other out that I bought a year ago, and same thing. they also fudged the angle of one of the pocket clip screws.

These I have bought from $6 or $7 a year ago and $10 with shipping a few weeks ago, so can’t expect greatness, but they are extremly sharp.

Of course you have never seen one, they are masters of camoflauge

That’s why knives and flashlights must be black, to cast no reflections during dangerous missions to Burger King

Just received my FH41. First impressions are it's a very nice knife. Workmanship is very nice. Feels good in the hand. Sharp and well centered blade. I am also pleased with the action and detent. It seems very promising!

I heard Ganzo fixed the weak detent on the FH41.

That’s good. Where did you hear that?
Was it from a reliable source??

I heard it from the Baz on Blades YouTube channel here (video starts where he mentions it):

mine seems just fine. I don’t think I would want to change it.

Where did you purchase it? My go-to is Fasttech but I’d buy from someone else if they have newer stock.

@ Grappler …. Thanks for the info.

:+1:

Grappler brought this FH41 review video to my attention. I think it is worth sharing.

Blood oozing from his finger throughout half of the video is very distracting.

Power Cutlery. Received it in 3 days (including the holiday).
