Shipping prices were rather high for this critter. No lithium cells, nothing dangerous at as as far as I can see, yet even unregistered postage is 4bux, and USA Express is 6bux. So in either case, postage itself is more than the price of the part, sometimes double.

It’s nothing critical for me to get, just thought it would be nice for me to get into the Christmas Spirit , so I didn’t order it, despite wanting to. But I understand this is the kind of thing everyone was talking about, how high postage can queer a deal.

Why is there such a high shipping cost for fixed blades knives to Canada (there is still free shipping to the USA)
For example

I understand that it is safer to ship folding knives via SE post for Canadian Customs but there is no restriction in Canada regarding fixed blades.
