I really wanted the Nitecore TM16 and they had a great deal going, but for some reason PayPal would not go through AT THAT TIME! Arrrrggghhh! lol
And yes, the whole time thing can indeed get very confusing.
If, however, she posts the actual GMT then we should easily be able to figure out our time in accordance. There is no half a day behind or ahead in real time because it’s a simple matter of freezing the clock. Right now, as I type this, it’s 8:26 AM in Central Texas USA. Stop the clock, it is what it is all over the world, and it’s all based on GMT.
In a much smaller way, this time issue is a plague for me as a photographer. We use at the very least 2 cameras during a wedding, sometimes 3 or 4. All the clocks in the camera’s HAVE to be perfectly synchronized as I use a time line for the final showing of pictures. Even one or two seconds off and the pictures get out of sync very fast. The bride and groom will kiss (in one camera) and then next shot may be the flower girl walking in before the Bride ever appears! Things are happening simultaneously, stop the clock, what’s happening right NOW? This very moment might have a different day attached to it, depending on where you live, but it’s still happening right now as I sit and type in Texas.
The hour long sales in China can and do present challenges to us though, for sure. Coordination of the timeline, pure and simple.
TM16 is still showing for me as a limited quantity discount. (50-pieces)
Was this not the same value as the sale reduction you missed?…
EDIT: Sorry, wasn’t thinking - Price screenshot removed! MAP isn’t something we have to deal with here in the UK (otherwise considered Price-fixing!), so it wasn’t at the top of my mind. Picture pulled.
Can’t blame you. Beijing time is mentioned only once as the critical time.
Would have been easier if all prices were quoted in GMT.
Everybody is capable of calculating the difference of his/her own time-zone against GMT.
And at 6 pm CET (Central European Time) I was driving home from work. :_(
Well as it happens I’m on CET as I live in France but 00.00 GMT + 8, I thought meant they were making it easy by giving GMT time but no. I guess she was telling us that Beijing is 8 hours in front of GMT, a bit of useless information as we can findfind the time in Beijing in 2 seconds.
on another note is anybody having problems typing on an android. It keeps repeating.
