Hi luminarium, thanks for your suggestion and I will Pm you for more details about your problem, so we could communicate with our related staff with envidentce, then decide how to do will be better and reasonble -May
Reposting from a PM — with permission — because I’d complained about scratched reflectors on the last round and PM’d “gearbest” to point out the problem is happening again.
I’ll hope the “100%” means people won’t be getting lowball offers if they got screwed up reflectors this round. I don’t have a clue if they can actually send a replacement reflector.
Just filed my first-ever PayPal claim over an undelivered order from GearBest. This company is truly the worst and should be avoided at all costs. This order was a make-up order for a previous undelivered order, so I payed for most of it with $$$ credited to my GB wallet. This was my first mistake — allowing GearBest to refund that first order to my GB wallet. Now, this second order, after two months, failed to arrive, so I “opened a ticket” and politely asked for a refund. They gave the usual spiel, that they could refund the $$$ to my wallet, which I said was OK. Then, when I went to check my ticket status, the ticket had disappeared — no sign of any correspondence between customer service and me. No sign of refund to wallet. I waited days. Then I went to PayPal and opened a claim and explained the situation. No reply from GB. Finally, with no other choice, I file the claim. Of course, I will only get back about 25% of my purchase — the PayPal amount. I’ve given up on ever trying to get the wallet $$$.
The non-delivery of orders, deleting of tickets, wallet scam, and refusal to refund money suggest that GearBest is a criminal enterprise. How they’re allowed to market and advertise on this site is beyond me.
Ooh that is nasty!
In the browser I use (Chromium) I can print a page to PDF and do so with all tickets with vendors right after posting a reply, so I can prove the communication later if needed.
In your case keep pushing GB for good solution, just wait 36 hours between a repeat if they don’t reply. They seem to answer older first so when you react within 24 hours I have found it is like a newer and might take longer to get responds.
Did anybody else get the GearWorst “VERY SORRY” coupon?
That’s just downright CREEPY!
I guess in their business culture, anything goes if you apologize enough.
I edited the coupon out just in case somebody gets the urge to give them more business.
My case is the typical… We don’t have the item in stock but we’ll take your money anyways and not bother to tell you YOU’RE SCREWED!
I’ll give them a little while to make it right, then make a PayPal claim.
What words do they use to describe a business man that doesn’t have what you want but takes your money anyways?
Shrewd, Clever, Crafty?
It’s definitely a different business culture than what I’m used to. I deal with salesmen and vendors almost daily. If they screw something up and apologize, it means, I will fix this so it never happens again. If they don’t fix it, they know I will take my business elsewhere.
We have numerous pieces of Chinese equipment that cost anywhere from $100,000 to $700,000 each. The quality is OK to horrible. One of the companies flew in a high level (VP as I recall) to address our concerns. He apologized to the point it got embarrassing. Of course nothing got fixed but boy was he sorry. I get the impression that that is normal and accepted in their culture.
