That's not ghetto.
:D
Far from ghetto…so far LOL
That is not ghetto at all. Keep us up on developments
Haha, I was testing whether the water chiller could handle the CPU heat by simulating it with an aquarium tank heater, and the temperature kept going up and up. So I may need to add a radiator… I’m looking for a used motorcycle radiator, better look around some junk yards!
The CPU waterblock has arrived, but the moment you realize the case doesn’t have a backplate mounting hole…
If you have the chance, try also looking for a car heater core. I’ve found a lot of heater cores that are roughly 120mm wide and 240 mm in fin height, which is perfect for mounting 120mm computer fans, and they’re usually pretty thick, so 120 x 38mm fans work well with them (though you’ll do just fine with 120 x 25mm fans for a CPU-only setup).
I remember building my first computer watercooling setup on what I think was an Intel E6600 with a cheap submersible pump and a 1970’s pontiac bonneville heater core. That was a lot of fun, especially when it sprung a leak
Best of luck!
My first “bought” water block, I had that same problem. I quickly solved that problem by cutting a hole underneath the motherboard J)
Can’t you cut one?
You could use a fan with the radiator or mount it vertically so the warm air circulates itself. Adding a chimney may help, to give the warm air farther to rise.
I suppose you are upping the clock speed?
