The Vapcell S4+ charger has arrived. Maybe a bit late, and maybe a bit unexpected. Apparently everybody was so concerned the parcel should arrive a the right address that they put on some extra tracking codes. Which only made it harder for me to track it
But all’s well that end’s well. I’m looking forward to put it through its paces. Once again: thanks Vapcell.

I have a question for the Vapcell S4 Plus charger (manual is not so clear)

When in “Capacity Test” mode, what is the discharge current used?
I notice after setting to “Cap Test” mode (assuming set to “Manual” selector), I can adjust the charge current.
But what discharge current will be used during the “Cap Test”?

(I understand that slots 1 & 4 are up to 1A discharge and slots 2 & 3 up to 0.5A discharge. But is there a way to force “Cap Test” to use 1A or 0.5A or 0.25A discharge current, when in Cap Test mode)?

Since the 2 outer slots (#1 & #4) have a max discharge current of 1A and the 2 inner slots (#2 & #3) have max discharge current of 0.5A.

Assuming I’m going to test 4pcs low-internal-resistance batteries (disregarding battery capacity/size), would that mean I’ll get 1A discharge current for slots #1 & 4 and 0.5A discharge current for slots #2 & #3? Or there are other factors to be considered?

You’re right. This is how the current is distributed. We think that the intelligent cap test is designed to facilitate the measurement of battery capacity. For example, when you go out or sleep, you can get the battery capacity

More specialized is to fully charge the battery and then use the discharge mode

Here you can choose the discharge current you want

I bought my Vapcell S4 plus back in June 2020, and it recently mal-functioned and started smoking, details here: Test/review of Vapcell S4+ fast charger

I recommend you keep the S4 plus away from anything flammable.
