I read this thread and remembered I had this in the drawer for a year now (for painting stars on the ceiling of the bedroom of my son), and nothing better to do yesterday evening:
Acrylic paint with GITD powder in it, color aqua. Never thought to use it on a flashlight before, apart from the GITD o-rings/tailcaps that are abundant. But thinking of the GITD-trick used in the DQG-AAA this is what I did, I painted a strip of ordinary copier paper with it, checked the effect and put on another three layers (let it dry for half an hour in between layers). Then I backed it with thin two-sided tape, cut it to size and adhered it to the inside above the pill of my Uniquefire UF-T20:
Assembled the light and now it looks kind of neat, doesn't it?, you can see the GITD-light coming from somewhere, but you can't really see the strip:

I just found out that the GITDpaperstrip causes some light reflected back to the pill, so all of a sudden when zoomed in there is some minor spill where there was none at all before, I do not know yet if I like that or not 
.
