I’m looking for a good source for buying a bunch of 380mA AMC7135 chips. FastTech only sell them in packs of 10, it’s only the 350mA chip they sell by the 100s. I know I can search on Ebay but I’d prefer a tried and tested source.
Digi-Key doesn’t seem to have them, and the guys at the local electronics shop are totally clueless (would cost a fortune anyway). Where do you all get ’em from?
Anymore I just use .350 chip’s cause I design all my own driver’s and can just use however many I need to get the exact current I want. Before I would buy stock 105c’s from RMM and for about $1 more I would get a 13A and all the other parts and only 2 less 380mA chips (and US shipping) vs buying a 10pk of 380’s from china. I know that doesnt help you tho.
You’re best bet will be the 10pk’s from FT but ask yourself, do you really need to spend 2x as much money for 30 more mA? Can you not just make a spot for one more 350mA chip on your custom board? Using 350mA chip’s and adding one more would make up the difference and save you money too.
I know the difference is very very small (I did the maths), and in the future I’ll probably go with the 350mA, but for the project I have in mind it doesn’t matter if it costs a bit more.
