Good source of Eneloops?

Hi all, anyone can give advice on where to find a good deal on these AA black Ni-Mh eneloops? Thanks a lot

+1

I prefer white Eneloop, but I have no problem with black

Why your preference on white?

I’m not sure about international availability or the veracity of these claims yet, but I just needed to re-up on NiMH AAs and AAAs and ordered the Amazon Basics rechargeable batteries.

They’re available in regular and high-capacity cells, seem to be well-regarded, and I read speculation that they’re actually re-branded Eneloops. They were a few bucks cheaper than Amazon’s prices for Eneloops. Still probably not an “awesome” deal, but at least I’m reasonably confident they’re not counterfeit?

It is good to know. Thanks for the info  Unfortunately Amazon does not ship to my country

It’s speculated that the higher capacity LSD batteries, like the Eneloop Pros/XX, Fujitsu 2450s, Duracell Ion Core and Amazon Hi Caps, develop higher internal resistances than the standard 2000mAh Eneloop type LSD batteries.

You’re not going to get 500…1000…or 2000 cycles out of them. It’s just the nature of the beast.

If you need longevity and have spares, get the standards. If you have to have that extra 20% and have easy access to them, get the Hi Caps.

I have both, but more of the standard caps.

Better charge retention, less self discharge

The shipping fees of Amazon to my country make any purchase impossible

got my pro (black) ones from a brazilian mercado livre verified panasonic seller, maybe they have something similar on the argentinian version of the site

My older white ones were from an ebay seller, I remember at the time the price+shipping was still cheaper than buying brand NiMH batteries from a store

I’ve had ion cores crap out already. No more for me.

You might want to go up to your two posts, where you quote me and fix both of them.

Also, switch to decaf, lol.

A few years ago I got white Eneloop in Mercado Libre Uruguay, I bought many, but now it is not possible
At this moment there is an offer of black Eneloop, but it is very past the price

Buying in Mercado Livre Brasil is possible, I’ve already done it
I live 100 km from the border (Livramento, RS), have friends
It would be necessary to see the prices, when I bought the shipping fees inside Brasil they were not cheap

I might get pilloried for heresy here, but I’ve had better luck with MAHA PowerEx than I’ve had with Eneloops.

My wife has been running two sets pretty hard for the last couple of years in her camera, and they still hold more charge than some new Eneloops I ‘initiated’ a month ago. I’m sure they’re available in many places, but here in Canada I got mine from http://www.paulsfinest.com/Maha-Chargers-and-Batteries/Maha-PowerEX-NiMH-Batteries/

I bought all of mine off ebay, there are a few good sellers that offer deals. plus I could use existing paypal cash or had a coupon. there was no shipping fee either.

You’ll soon come to a point where their I.R.s will be so high that you can’t charge them up on most smart chargers and you’ll need to use a dumb timed charger.

I wouldn’t buy Maha batteries if you gave me the money and I’ve used their C9000 for over six years.
