Damn he’s quick. I slapped 3 Panasonic grey 2900mah protected cells in it and started on low. Then about the 3rd click Vinh’s work starts to kick in. On the final 6th click on the highest setting I fell in love. I’ll post some beamshots later tonight and compare it the the Vinhnguyen54 TN31. Now I have 2 great thrower flashlights. I’m gonna post a picture of this light and Vinh’s de-dome job in just a bit.

My K40 on a wall looks brighter than my TN31. I don’t know. Come on nite.
My son even says it’s brighter. We shall see.
From the beamshots, looks like the K40 has a wider beam, so on close-ups the K40 may appear brighter.
That’s probably what I’m seeing.

Thats my dilemma. I’m up in the air to send him my TK75 or just pick up one of these. He just ordered 16 more and not sure how much longer I can hold out!

Well I’m getting ready to eat, but I just shined the lights at 100yds, 50yds and say 25yds and the K40 looks to be the winner.
I've also had a chance to do this same comparison.. Let's just say that I sold the TN31.

Well I got these done at 50yds so far. I just got done eating. So I’ll put this one up at 50yds. Manual exp 1.2 sec shutter f/2.8 ISO 400 K40 is on the left and TN31 is on the right.

Concentrate your efforts on the tree at the top of the hill on the left at the lower limb and the leaves on it. I was a little off on my centering the beams.
