Let me first just say what needs to be said. Dale is just awesome to deal with. This guy tells it like it is. And he does what he says. I am truly glad that this forum has guys like him. I thank you Dale. It’s just as described. Oh and I forgot to put the lanyard in the picture, but I never use it anyway. I used a different pixel setting on my camera. So I hope these are’nt too big.
I just got done playing with the light. I’ll take some beamshots later. But I love the Catapult V3 lights.
I added that 110yd shot to the list of my XM-L thrower thread that’s a sticky here. I have had a lot of folks tell me that thread has really helped them on what XM-L throwers to buy.
I am very fond of the Catapult. I was one click away from buying it a while ago but Crelant 7G5 v1 had just came out - much cheaper - and got some really good reviews, so I got that instead. I am very happy with it but, still, sometimes I think I should also get a Catapult.
I had fun playing with this baby last nite. The beam is aweseome. A little bigger hopsot than on the old XM-L one I have. But this one definately is brighter and will throw better. I’m gonna guess around 70,000 to 75,000lux or so.
I would have to put this light probably in my top 5 I have. No it won’t out throw a K40 or TN31, but for cool looking I love the Catapult V3’s. I guess it’s the cross groove cutouts and the extra cool looking head. It has the thickest tube of any flashlight I know.
