Great review, thanks for sharing. i don’t care for the knobby tire grip or the poorly designed clip that lacks a spring loop either.
Body tube looks like it was down sized from 26650. Offering other tubes; 26650, 26800, gentler 21700 might help this one. As is it only offers more throw and pain over the Mateminco MT01 with out the extra run time.
Updated with B35AM 3500K testing
That B35AM beam looks so good. I find a lot of people mention that high CRI is not useful in a thrower, but based on your photo, the clarity on the tree at a distance is clear and comfortable on the eyes.
Only 23klux/1l is way below the spec, that’s weird. I think there are still focusing issues unless you got floody optics. Brightness itself is as expected, B35AM comes in different efficiency bins depending on CCT, you’re loosing or gaining around 200 lumens with each step therefore 5000K version should be around 1600lm (as measured by LuxWad), 4500K and 4000K should be around 1400lm (as advertised) and 3000K/3500K ones should produce about 1200lm. I’m still wondering how would XHP35HD and especially XHP50.3 HI focus in those lens.
