What you see up above is the result of people trying to jump the gun. Dealing with Phoebe or the Grinch or The Pope, etc., will always get misinformation, which is why it's best to wait for the group buy to play out.... patience is a virtue! ;)

If you have questions, ask here or PM Kronological. Bypassing the Chain of Command virtually ALWAYS goes wrong. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200. lol

I just signed up here and this thread is seriously long to figure out the status for now, but if it’s not too late I would like to request two of these lights. One NW, one CW.

Edited to clarify per the OP:
A) 2 lights, one NW and one CW
B) I’m satisfied with the mode update posted by Krono on 9/10, prefer L-H without memory but these aren’t deal killers.
C) I’m flexible and the direction the specs seem to be heading I’m certain I’ll buy these two lights.

There should be new info in the next day or two, with the latest 2 samples in the States and on the way to Krono and JM. So we should have new information pretty soon as to how quickly this will move forward.

Jumping the gun indeed, by assuming that there has been a lack of patience or some jumping of guns.

Imagine if someone were to have paid for their order knowing in advance that funds might be a bit tight around the time that the final product might be ready.
Then imagine if that person was not fussed about when their order actually became available or was shipped as long as it had been paid for.
Then this person receives an email stating that their order is “out of stock” but will be in stock and shipped within 3 days knowing full well that it’s impossible since item hasn’t even been shipped for testing yet.
After this person explains that they might be a member of a forum organising this group buy, having knowledge of price range and estimated time of stock being available, but still being told of final price and exaggerated time of arrival decides to publicly make sure this is not the case.

So in my opinion, “Phoebe, the pope, or the Grinch” are representing a company when they email customers about incorrect information, customers will tend to take notice and question information passed on to them when using a company name and claiming to be from “customer service”.

The last time I checked customer service was intended to be of service to a customer in a positive way, not used as a way to share fairytales or prove incompetence.
So I think you’ll find that no one tried to salvage information prematurely, was impatient or tried to go over anyone’s head for their own benefit.

So what have we learnt from this, that good help is hard to find, that customer service should be left to those with at least a minor knowledge of the company they represent or product they deal with, that some people believe in the Grinch, and that those people will most likely jump the gun and assume others might be jumping the gun, and that quoting board games is in some way an advantage or impressive.

Sounds like it had nothing to do with the group buy and should be in a thread about BG service instead. Using the GB as a club to beat what you want out of someone that doesn’t have it is a good way ruin the deal for all of us. Let Krono handle it. Get your money back and wait with the rest of us.
