GTL 2000mAh 14500 3.7v Rechargeable Li-ion

Are GTL batteries any good, and specifically the 2000mAh 14500 3.7v that are on ebay?
Thanks,
Jerry

Total carp !!!

Thanks, I am going to pass it up.
Are there tests of 14500 batteries? I know thee have been some excellent tests on 18650 batteries.

Many thanks. I have not used Li-on batteries very much, and most have been Flame Trustfires.

GTL = Dumpster Brand ! ie [ some one pulled them out of a dumpster and put a label on them , or something like that ]

I haven’t seen a proper 14500 over 800 mAh capacity yet. But I’ve seen 3000mAh 18650 cells those only give 800mAh. So Avoid.

Thanks, again. Of the inexpensive li-ons how do Trustfire and Ultrafire stack up? I almost never use the lights, and do not want to put a lot of money in $12-$15 each batteries.
I would not contest that the Panasonic and such batteries are better in various ways, but so far with the little use I do with them, I have found no problems with Trustfires.

I admit my ignorance, however.

Jerry

Jerry, genuine Trustfire cells are fantastic cells, especially for the price but beware of counterfeits. Avoid ANY Ultrafire cells like the plague. A great place to buy Trustfire Flames these days is FastTech.com. ;)

Hi, JohnnyMac,

I appreciate the response. I was not aware of FastTech.com. and have put it in my bookmarks. They have some good prices. It is sometimes difficult to separate the poor dealers from the good so it is well to have recommendations from forum such as this one.
