Gun mount for light

Hey all, i just got this light TrustFire X8 XM-LT60 5-Mode 1000LM.

I need a mount for it for a standard size weaver rail system. Anyone know of one?

What’s the weapons system? I know you say weaver but curious as to the actual platform.

IDK about your light, but I use the 2-piece mounts, one at a time, with std. scope rings. Yours would probably need ‘High’ rings, and you might want to use both the Mounts…

You probably already know you can get the wired-remote switches — get the cheapest one you can find & swap out the guts into your tailcap, for the “Budget” solution…

What have you done to mitigate recoil? I put springs on both ends, but a .22 hardly needs them. Or does/did your light come ready for shooting?

Are you looking for a Weaver Mount for the common Picatinny Rail system? The Weaver mounts I’ve seen are usually rated for 25mm, I’ve been able to jury rig some 30mm hosts into them. But that light says it’s 46mm in the spec’s? Wondering if that will be too wide? And as noted, you’ll need the high mount version of the Weaver mount whichever you wind up going with. There are also lots of them on eBay.

Itll be going on this rail system

And its on an airsoft m4, so i dont have to worry about recoil.

And it will be on the lower mount.

You need these rings for that, and they’ll need to fit your light. Did you get the diameter of the body? Most rings, as you know, come in either a 1” or 30mm scope-tube (flashlight-body) size.

You may need to get some thick 30mm rings and ream them…

The website says it is 46 mm. not sure if that is right or not, i can measure it with a string i guess.

It looks like you have a weaver rail. In that case be careful if you use the link above. For a good rule-of-thumb, “Picatinny” won’t fit Weaver, but Weaver will fit “Picatinny”.

The measurements are diameter, not circumference.

Ohh well that wont work then XD

Edit; although i guess it could… you can find diameter from circumference

It’s simple enough to eyeball it with a ruler, you’re not trying to get it exact, 46mm is a heck of a lot different than 30mm.

BTW, you actually can’t buy one of the 25mm mounts and ream it out to fit your light no matter how thick it is, so you can disregard that suggestion too.

If you wanted to make your life simple you could get another light that is easier to work with, has the right diameter, and is lighter. There are tons of them around. If I can get by with a single cell 18650 light on my issue firearm for work, I’m sure one would work equally well for Airsoft, at some point you may have to decide you made an unfortunate choice for lights perhaps.

That 245mm x 46mm x 46mm is usually box size. Most body tubes run around 1”. You can find dozens of slight variations of this one. http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/mount-ft-m-060-ring-laser-mounts-flashlight/147109778.html

Stumbled onto this. Way cheap and heck of a deal for aluminum. Gonna have to order me one.
