Haikelite Reflector

Does anybody know how to remove the reflector from an HT70? I got the bezel off, removed the glass with a suction cup, then the O ring. Now the reflector, hmm…

The reflector is held down by a screw. You have to remove the driver retaining ring and the driver itself. Then, you can remove the big central screw and get out the reflector. The driver cables should be long enough to do it without soldering them off.

Thanks so much! I’ll give it a try this weekend.

That did it! A couple of old nails to get the retaining ring out, and I have access to the driver and the reflector is out. I might be able to fix this thing yet!

I’m glad it worked. What was wrong with your HT70?
I will soon upgrade my HT70 with XHP70.3 HI because the SST70 are too cold for my liking and I want 90 CRI.

One of the SST-70s is discolored/burned. I bought it that way from a member here and it has slowly gotten worse, time to reflow a new one.

High CRI and neutral color are essential for any light I actually use, but the HT70 is so silly that cold white efficiency is fine.

I have considered SFT-70s though!
