Hanjin Shipping Bankruptcy

I ordered 4 LittoKala 26650’s for my shocker on 8-5-16 from Banggood. I usually get my goods from BG in about 2 weeks. They have been proccesed through ISC Los Angeles since 8-17-16, I’m not even sure what ICS LA is. I’m actually not even sure if my goods come over by sea.
I wonder if this is the reason for the hold up of my batteries.

I dont think they use ships, my tracking always says airport, it would take much longer over the sea in a containership.

ISC LA is the USPS International Service Center in Los Angeles; a huge sorting facility. My experience has been that when a package stays listed as being in one of the ISC’s formore thana couple weeks, it is being returned to sender. Sinceitis lithium cells that may be a contributory factor. Or maybe not. Let us know how this works out if you can.

Will do Don. Thank you for the info.

Chooma, here’s what is typical speed through an ISC for me….

ISC NEW YORK NY (USPS) September 6, 2016 7:51 pm

and then it gets into the regular USPS delivery system……

Arrived at USPS Facility JAMAICA, NY 11430 September 6, 2016 7:51 pm

Now I’ll probably get it in a few days, maybe 4.

And another one….

September 6, 2016 8:17 am ISC LOS ANGELES CA (USPS),

and now….

September 8, 2016 7:30 am Arrived at USPS Facility LOS ANGELES, CA 90009

Yep my bike lite battery got hung up in Chicago ISC. Most likely it was destroyed by usps for improper shipping of Li ion batteries. KD reshipped order and I got it.

I had a package from China sit in ISC New York for 6 months once.
The seller had already re-sent it and I recieved the reship, then one day I get an unexpected package at my door.
The package was contained in a clear plastic bag, and inside the package looked like it had been run over by a truck and dropped into a vat of oil. Crazy how it looked and the original order finally arrived with the original shipping date some 6 months prior.
So lucky me I got a double order.

Customs is usually quick, but can also take ridiculous time.

In this instance, I believe my package had fallen into a dark crevice somewhere near the sorting machine, or something like that, and was probably found during an annual cleaning. lol

Hope yours arrives much faster.

Hanjin does container shipping too, and that is where the biggest effect will be. Eventually everything will get through though- the sellers and buyers both need that to happen. How long that will take and who will pay for it is anyone’s guess. It shouldn’t affect us directly but retailers buying in larger quantities might get screwed in the process from the delays and additional ininsured costs, and those costs will come to bear on everyone eventually.

Both packages I mentioned above were delivered today. Better time than if this was in December

I looked back and the 26650 Keeppowers I ordered before these took about the same time going through ISC LA. Just 2 days longer. Maybe an extra weekend in there?

US Holiday, which equals one day not working and getting snot-slinging drunk plus another day recuperating from it while appearing to be working. Two days total time lost.

I contacted Banggood about having not received my Liito Kalas. I sent them the order number and they were quick to respond saying the cells were returned to them and they were unsure why.
They said they have arranged to have them shipped via Air parcel register with tracking number.

I doubt the Hanjin issue had anything to do with my cells being returned.

Looks like it’s throwing the world of cheap Chinese imports into a tailspin!!!

So expect some REAAAAALY long ship times for awhile
