I can’t be the only one that would like a nice silver light with a gorgeous patina, am I? Silver has the highest thermal conductivity of any metal, so it should perform marvelously and look great while doing so.
It may not be the lowest cost, but neither are SBT 90.2 emitters, and they seem rather popular.
Am I alone, or do others have interest in such a light?

I served tea today with the silver tea service I inherited from my mother; I was bemoaning the fact that it’s showing a lot of tarnish again. Sorry, but I don’t call that tarnish “a gorgeous patina”! 
Tarnished copper looks decent to me, but tarnished silver… nope. Stainless steel will hold the shine, and that’s what I like. JMO.
I cast silver as a hobby, and on many items the tarnish is preferred. It looks really good on objects with intricate patterns and angles (like the knurling). Not so much on a teapot.
Personally, I wouldn’t want a raw silver light.
I’d rather prefer a nickel plated copper or silver plated head.
It would probably cost $200 to $300. Which means five people will buy it. Bad business decision.

Silver tarnishes easily, you can’t call that patina.
Sterling silver 92.5% silver/7.5% copper is less soft, but also tarnishes quite easily.
Argentium is like Sterling silver, but with better physical properties, and less tarnishing.
I agree. A silver Hank light would be worth the price and would sell well enough. People drop $1000+ on less impressive lights every day.
I think it would look outstanding polished and it would be fun to dote on it.
More people need to do damascus or mokume lights! (I would love a damascus D4v2 or KR4.)
FWIW, silver plated my Copper BLF A01 just to see what silver tarnish would look like compared to copper patina.

I like the way the smooth surfaces shine in silver, so a KR4 in silver might be a nice.
fwiw, a copper D4V2 weighs 1/2 pound (silver is 17% heavier than copper), the aluminium D4V2 weighs 1/4 pound, half as much as the copper light.

Too expensive yes, waste, that’s subjective. Even expensive is subjective.
Personally, I love the copper and brass offerings.

Silver is a much rarer metal than cooper, so I’d prefer keeping it for other uses.

My back of the envelope calculation indicates that silver would be 2-3x the price of Mokume Gane material which is already costly. Plus copper lights are already kinda heavy and silver is even heavier.
Beside wouldn’t plating copper be more *B*LF spirited.
