Im considering buying 50 of these on 20mm pcb’s for a few vehicular lighting projects but want to make sure that they perform as expected. I just asked for a photo of the bin label and am waiting for his reply. At a quantity of 50, they are $3/each. Has anyone purchased and tested this particular bin from him yet? Any other L2 purchases from Simon?
I've made at least 5 different emitter purchases from Simon. None the 1A. As best I can tell, they are the real deal. For sure, I can tell you he has been a stand up vendor in my books and I trust him.
Thanks for stopping by. Ive participated in a few of his convoy experience threads when he was a start-up, and also found him to be quite on top of his game and responsive to forum members. I asked for a photo of the bin sheet and have other L2 T6 1A’s to compare, should I go that route.
It's an odd buy for most of us - T6/1A. For many of us, if you go with a T6 for a flashlight, I'd rather have a 3C tint, or wanting a 1A, I'd go with the brightest bin of U2.
Sorry - you probably won't get much feedback on this, though $3 each is a good deal.
Have you checked with FT about price in that kind of quantity?
Bare 0D (very similar to 1A) is $4.05 for one (20mm $4.12), but drops to $3.66 for only five (20mm $3.68). Might be worth it to check what 50 would get it down to.
