Has anyone done runtime testing with the Emisar d4sv2 with 12 LEDs

Preferably with either the ntg 50 4000k - 4500k LED or nichia 519a LEDs

I’m able to estimate to run time, but I don’t like estimates, I’m wondering if any of you actually did run time tests

Can the light hold at least 500 lumens for like six seven hours without dimming? can it hold more can it hold 800?

Absolutely not. 500lm consumes at least 3.33W of power as a very optimistic estimate (150lm/W), so sustaining for 6hr takes a battery with 20Wh of capacity, which is 5400mAh, just barely feasible in a 26650. Now add in optical losses (typical 20% in a TIR), and the fact that the 500lm won’t be sustained toward the end of a battery’s run due to voltage sag and LVP.

I forgot to mention with a 26800 tube and 7200 mah hour capacity battery

but I just read on his website I don’t think this model comes with a constant current driver which sucks

It’ll probably dim in less than 2 hours

With this battery capacity it seems feasible, but some testing would be necessary. I don’t know whether 500lm would be within the 7135-regulated regime or FET regime, you’d need to check.

My D4Sv2 with the illuminated button came with a K9.3 driver which is CC.
My D4Sv2 without the illuminated button came with the 7135 driver.
