I’ve read some reviews of people getting decent performance from the tf flame batteries, specifically the 14500’s. I figure I could try my luck ordering them from TomTop on eBay. Anyone ever received any fake 14500 batteries? How do I know if I receive fakes?
I used to order from Tomtop on Ebay and had good results. Recently I ordered some cells from their dot com site. Had to file a Paypal dispute as i NEVER received the cells! Won’t do business with them anymore as Mountain Electronics is THE PLACE.
I can tell what little I know , stay away from any xxx-fires when I first started looking for batteries I was warned to stay away from any xxx-fires brands as they are unreliable and get some name brand which I did and I never regretted I have a friend who had new xxx-fires fires in a Eagle TAC light and was disappointed about the lack of out put his light had , so I gave it a quick once over a first thing I noticed were it had xxx-fires ,3000 mah so I threw I. One of my Panasonic s and his light instantly gained about 1/3 in brightness I think you would be better of getting eneloops 14500 s ore contacting Mountain electronics and asking Richard what he thinks .
For slightly higher price you can get KeepPower or Sanyo batteries. No need to gamble with Trustfire.
i bought all my good TF 14500 originals from DX, ( Best Quality + best price Protected 14500 cells. )
but they are sold out of them at the moment. I never bought any from Tomtop so i don’t know if they are the real originals or just fakes.
