dx just listed a new small uv-light (395-410nm, 3W, cr123 size). The led caught my attention because it looks like a small smd-type I have never seen before. Does anyone know more about this led, and if the footprint is perhaps xpg? If no one knows, I'll give at least an update on the performance, 'cause I just ordered it .
Hard to tell how many emitter dies it has from the dx picture but it could be a version of this? Similar dot on the anode & color but the dx one seems to have a smaller dome.
Well, glad you ordered it cause that emitter caught my eye too. Less tempted now, I can wait for your update.
Good find!, if you click further there you get to this one that looks even more like it. It indeed looks like a xpg footprint.
That is an interesting find. I thought CREE was out of the UV light emitters as of 3 or 4+ years ago.
I thought that might be it (despite dx claiming 3w). Just the cathode markings don’t match.
Wish dx would sell just the emitter!
