It amazes me that Amazon doesn’t bother to police listings making blatantly false claims.
Welcome back after 3 years, mutts13, is there a reason you’re looking at these lights? In my opinion they’ll be garbage and not worth the money.
Novelty of lying lumen claims on listings has worn off now, I stick with known sellers nowadays (last 2 lights have come from Convoy).
Im amazed you’re amazed. I’d suggest that Amazon are one of the flag-bearers of “bad capitalism”.

I lurk… Just haven’t posted much… I have been around long enough that I have an Old Lumen’s Custom Flashlight still… Lol
The Flashlight from Amazon popped up on my you might be interested in section of Amazon… Lol Probably because I had googled the Imalent flashlight that is 200000 Lumens… Not going to buy I was just curious if anyone bought any of them to see what kind of output they actually have.

Haha! This is why I never shop on Amazon for things like lights or knives. Certified dealers only!! Otherwise, you never know what you’re going to get.

I wouldn’t buy the Amazon light in this thread, but I have bought flashlights and knives from Amazon many times, and I have had excellent results receiving genuine items every single time.
You do need to know what you’re doing when shopping on many websites, including Amazon, and I have received great deals from Amazon for over 25 years and counting. 
I’ve professionally tested a few Amazon specials, including a more modern one and the consensus is you’re better off buying a Convoy M21E or M21H if you want onboard charging or a M26C or L21A if you’re okay with a hobby charger. Any of those will be exponentially better than that Amazon thing for around the samme price. Plan on the output for that being about 5% of advertised with very poor thermal regulation (if any).

They don’t seem to care. I’m a Vine reviewer and some of the stuff I’ve seen has been eye opening- a lot of Chinese companies sell through them and they often will say anything if it gets them a sale. It doesn’t matter if their product doesn’t actually have that feature. I call it out in the reviews- like a mega lumen street light that my Q8 Plus clearly out gunned on the lumen front.
Mains powered equipment that doesn’t pass local electrical standards (so is illegal to sell in Australia) is a very common problem. It’s actually quite scary what is being sold. There was a four outlet mains power board that claimed to have surge and overload protection- none of that was actually inside it and the wiring looked way too thin for the claimed power rating.
I’ve got a few cheap flashlights on there - none of them have been too good. The only good one was a Sofirn- I was happy when a known brand appeared on there and I got it.

Amazon are just a typical American company with the typical American attitude. Morals, standards and even legality are irrelevant as long as they are making money.
