I use a SkyRay King for night hunting, love the brightness (and budget price!) of this light. Would love a headlamp with the same brightness, anyone know of a headlamp similar to the Skyray King? I recently purchased a Kohree 80000 on Amazon……decent headlamp, but it is more of a tight spot than the Skyray King. Anything similar to the Skyray King out there?
No ideas?
In order to be similar to a SRK, it would have to weigh a similar amount, for heat transfer. Tie a SRK to your forehead and walk around a while…
Closest you’ll probably get is a FET driven Convoy S2+ triple (~3000 lumens) in a headband. But it won’t be very comfortable with all the heat the light produces.
Hmm I use a headband (~$3 on AliExpress) that can hold 3 18650 lights
Right now I have a Convoy C8 stock, a nichia 365UV S2+ and the On The Road i3 on it (transferred it from a cap since I wear hoodies outside)
The i3 and C8 are in NW
Use the i3 the most but when in nerf for more power the C8 is there
I kind of hate dedicated headlights and much more prefer a good flashlight
Looked it up for you, it is even cheaper now

(from AliExpress Android)
Gonna order another one right away
Man, that looks like a great simple cheap idea.
I just ordered one too.
A few of the cheap zoomies I have laying around will make the brightest headlight at the campground.
Now for the month wait.
Exactly!
And welcome to BLF!
You are most likely better off with a decent 500 Lumens headlight that has also a timed turbo
So a single 18650 gets you 3 hours runtime on high with 500 lumens
There are a few lights that run on turbo nonstop like Nitecore HC90 but battery life on full power and the weight of the lamps is quite bad
I like my Skilhunt H03R small and light headlamp, with coupon below 40$
With 18650 battery the light is below 100g
Buy a brand name headlamp i would recommend a either the Skilhunt H03 or the Nitecore HC30. I just got a Imalent headlamp to test but haven’t had much of play yet.
Check out the this.
Thanks Guys, I have a few really cheap headlamps, which I am happy with, still I will probably get a decent one when one or two break.
But you know how these cheap things are, half of the time they work perfectly well for a lifetime.
I like the idea of my hand helds having several uses,
and most of all, I love the idea of being able to use 3 or more torches at once,
Yes I like that angle head design in a pocket or on a hat too, that is another good idea.
Cheers.
