Hello all, need FeiLong assistance.

Not new here but finally a member and looking for some assistance.

I have a FeiLong 2D80-CSM360, and it shut off last night and will not turn back on… 32650’s are fully charged… tried the wall power option, tried the car charger option, nothing…

http://feilong.us/goods.php?id=41 Link to light.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thank you.

FeiLong, how is that pronounced? Sounds almost as bad as Uranusfire.

I’ll make sure to help your future posts with childish garbage.

For some reason I thought this was someplace I could seek assistance.
Tom E has been a big help, I’m sure there are other members eager to assist and I will patiently wait and wade through the comedians.

Check that the batteries are actually fully charged with a multimeter.

I'm not really familiar enough with the light to suggest much else. My own course of action would be to take the light apart as much as possible to check for any obvious damage.

Also to bypass the tailcap, if the switch is in there, to see if that's the problem.

Welcome to BLF :)

Lol. His name’s fartybum. What do you expect? I’m sorry I don’t think I can help you either though. How long since you purchased the light? Didn’t pay $920 for it I hope.

From what I can tell (FYI, the link you posted kinda sucks balls) it looks to be a tail-switch operated light.
Have you tried removing the tailswitch and bypassing it? a nice, thick piece of wire from the neg terminal of the bottom battery to the sidewall of the light should do it. Make sure you touch a non-anodized part of it.
I’m by no means the most experienced guy here, but I have seen a post or two in the past where switches have blown out.

As for jumping on fartybum? Posts on this forum tend to all be treated as discussions. He was referencing a real brand with “UranusFire”, and Fei-Long does have a weird name. Calling him post “childish garbage” was unnecessary, especially when asking people here for help.

If the flashlight has a warranty contact the manufacturer about service. If not under warranty ask the manufacturer for suggestions concerning what the problem might be.

Try 6 x 18650 batteries in there and see if that works. Those 32650s they come with are a little dodgy.

Lighten up dude, we don’t need the humour police here, I did nothing to disrupt your life and death thread.

Are your cells protected? has the protection been tripped?

This light appears to have a tail switch but in fact the switch is an eloborate twisting ring. There is a PDF on the feilong site just on switch…
I have checked the 32650 and 26650 and all are fully charged. I have the new Feilong 32250 and 26650, new 32650 are about 3/8” shorter than original, can’t use new ones on extended tube.
I tested all I could while using the AC adapter.
I tested all I could using the car plug in adapter.
All battery configurations.
Nothing worked, the light is dead.
The light is out of warranty.
To 264 - Thanks, I’ll try contacting them…

Thanks to all.
