That’s what I meant when I suggested to tin it… Or the end of whatever caused it.
Ahhh I’ve just read my original post again and I admit I didn’t make it clear where this scratch was - sorry!
The scratch is on the negative end of the Keeppower 18650 battery. I said the scratch was on the PCB as it was my understanding that protected batteries had a PCB on the negative end? So the G25C2 tailcap has left this scratch on the battery. I took the picture in my first post with the battery still in the light. Apologies if I’ve used the wrong terminology in describing the battery.
