I’ve been reading threads on BLF for a while now and I’ve finally decided to join BLF. From what I can see this is a great community. I hope to learn more about modding lights and such, as BFL is literally a shining beacon of knowledge.
At first I didn’t know that this would turn out to be an addiction. All I wanted was a bright flashlight at a price that didn’t leave my bank account in tatters. And so I bought a Sipik SK68. I didn’t even know it was so popular before I came here. I just bought it because DX recommended it and it seemed to have pretty good reviews. At first it was a pretty good light with a AA battery, but it felt lacking in daylight use. So I then bought some TrustFire 14500 batteries. And then… I saw the light.
Wait. This is starting to sound like Step 1 of the 12 step program.
Anyways, I am glad to be part of the BFL community and hopefully I can make a big splash on BFL!
This is a killer combination. The purchase of my SK-68 earlier this year, brought about the biggest wow factor, for the buck. I was extremely impressed for the amount of light that little bargain was able to produce, once I put a good 14500 battery in it - and with a nice focusing feature that blows away the Maglite.
