Hello everyone from East Tennessee. Kingsport, Tn.
i have been obsessed with these little led flame throwers ever since a buddy of mine had his out one night while we were visiting his campsite. Not sure what model is was he has but it as BRIGHT!! i have been reading posts for about 2 months, buying flashlights, modding. Eat up with it. I got my usbasp and atmel studio 7 going and have been trying everything that will run on my drivers. Hope to figure out the code enough to do meaningful mods to them. While on subject of drivers, it seems that no one is using the firmware repository as designed. Code has been there for quite a while and no branches off original versions?? There should be many iteritions of each and if i can figure out C and the attiny, i hope to contribute. I really would like to try the version that toykeeper created of blf-a6 that can run one one channel but i cant convert it yet. ;) i keep trying.
1st led i purchased was a cheap wp-502b. Ordered a p60 drop-in. I thought i was rockin! Upgraded battery. Added 8 extra 7135s. Wrapped pill with alum. Flashed mcu. Added mem cap. Spring mod. Got about all i can get out of that one now.
2nd and 3rd were convoy s2 and m1. (16)7135s in each now. New smo reflectors installed tonight. M1 is the best/brightest spot beam i have now. I wanted to get a blf-a6 but had to buy 186$ battery for car the other day. :( soon i hope! I like the looks of the blf copper but not the battery option. If it had a 18650 tube option I'd be all over that one.
Keep up the great posts and development!!
