Hi all, been lurking for a while, joined a few weeks ago and now I'm in.

After a string of cheap eBay/Amazon no brands claiming many many lumens I have finally taken delivery of a Sofirn SP33 and I am very impressed and planning my next already.

I have a narrowed it down to a Sofirn Q8 XPL-HI or the Emisar D4S (undecided on emitter) I like a nice pure white light so I guess 5000k+ and the longest throw possible, any thoughts?

Hello HenrysCat, welcome to BLF. Considering the price (ask for a coupon) the Q8 is a powerful light.
With good throw for a multi-emitter sodacan light. And the color of the XP-L HI ain’t half bad (to my old eyes).

A Q8 is never a bad idea! It is the light i mostly use. But get yourself a code for it.
No need to pay the full price!

Both good choices and will give you plenty of light.

Max lumens go for Q8, but D4S a bit more compact and only takes a single cell, mag tail and still plenty bright. Also you have more tint options with D4S.

You can’t go wrong either way.
