Hello from the Philippines

Hi everybody, Im Arnold from the Philippines. I had been using maglite torches in my work. After my last mag died I decided to buy a cheapy 502b with xml T6 LED. First impression was wow, after that I bought a C3 for my EDC. Now I cant stop looking at posts at BLF and admiring work done on your DIYs

Hi Arnold! Welcome to BLF!

THanks Chloe for the welcome

You have come to the right place, comprador!

I was already browsing BLF for a couple of months now. To be frank I felt I was missing something by not joining

Welcome aboard Arnold. Sounds like you caught the bug. You've come to the right place.

Welcome to BLF !

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Welcome to BLF.

Welcome to BLF, Comprador. Thanks for joining us here.

BTW comprador is spanish for buyer, which is my work now for an auto company

Welcome to BLF! Sounds like you fit right in!

Welcome buyer!
Now you will become a serious buyer of flashlights too!

I was in the Philippines for the first time last year in November. It is hot and humid there. The 14 hour flight was a killer. Stayed at Dusit Thani Manila.
Traffic was crazy and drivers use their car horn alot. Lane lines don’t mean a thing. 6 cars abreast will squeeze into 4 lanes.

I dont like Manila either because of the humidity and the traffic. I live in one of the provinces south of Manila, our place is somewhat mountainous so its cool and dry even during summer.

Manila it sticks out like a sore thumb to visitors and some locals also. But Manila is not the whole country, we have some of the best beaches in Asia so better stay in the provinces not in the capital

As for the driving, Im still wondering why we dont have F1 drivers yet

Yes, I remember taking a trip to Marco palace in the mountainous region. It was cooler and windy. Lots of wood carvers and pineapple fields.

Brightken, thats where I live. Tagaytay City, the place you had visited was Marcos Palace aka Palace in the Sky

Welcome to BLF!

Hope you enjoy your stay here.
