Hello from the UK and a First Question

Hello all, I have been lurking on here awhile and just joined up, it’s a great forum and through reading all the great reviews I have ordered YZXStudio 8 Power Bank.

My question is can anyone point me in the right direction to get 4 x 18650 cells spot welded here in the UK, I’m happy to pay for your time? It’s proving harder then I thought and I’m a bit reluctant to order a spot welder as I doubt I’d get the use out of it and although competent with a soldering iron, I have read this is not wise to do.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome Redaxis.
If your spot welding your cells to get a button top you will find most members here carefully solder a blob on them.

I hope you find a solution
(Would be a turnoff for me, I’d go for a powerbank that allows me to just insert cells (maybe adding a magnet for a button) but I read it is a good powerbank.

I think he’s talking about welding multiple batteries together with tabs to make a battery pack
